High-Gloss Finished Interior Trim

CARE TIPS

Care For Your New Wood Dash and Interior Trim

Craft Customs
Wood Care Instructions

We are very pleased that you are enjoying all of the comfort and advantages of luxurious wood or otherwise decorated and finished interior trim and dash pieces.  We want to help assure that it gives you year after year of good service. No other interior trim material is as durable, as convenient and as easy to care for as those provided by Craft Customs. As experts in the field, we would like to share with you our advice on care, just as we do with automobile dealer service technicians where you purchased your vehicle.

For the most part you should have to do nothing to upkeep your interior trim.  The finishes used on these parts are the same as those used over the outside paint on your car and are very durable.  The finishes used in automotive industry are unique – much different than furniture. Automotive wood finishes can typically be cleaned by simply wiping it with a mild soap using a soft cloth dampened with lukewarm water every month or so to help prevent dirt and oil from building up.

If the finish on your parts becomes scratched or dull, you can bring the bright and shiny finish back by simply rubbing or buffing the pieces with a buffing compound.  Turtle Wax Premium Grade Rubbing Compound can be used for this and is available at most any Walmart or automotive store.

This is one of the most important things you can do for your interior. From now on, when you clean the interior in your car, you can feel good knowing that your not only keeping the interior fresh and smooth, but your helping to raise the resale value of your car compared to others that don't take care of theirs.

Have fun!
